What a value! Excellent course
Well worth the drive from Scottsdale (about an hour). Found an incredible deal on a last minute tee time, but it would have been worth it at the regular price. The fairways and greens here were in excellent condition, the rough was basically dead, but that is normal for a desert course. The course in interesting and challenging but fair. The staff were all very friendly and the pace of play was excellent, we weren't waiting for anyone in front of us and no one was waiting for us either. In a word, ideal.

Golf club of Estrella
A great day on the course. Went as a pair and got paired up with 2 good people. A friendly staff all around from start to ending. A somewhat challenging course but with the ability to get out of trouble made for a fun day out there. I'll play it again.

Rolling terrain, fast greens, steep faced bunkers
Beautiful, scenic and widely varied holes. Very tough bunkering.

great nicklaus jr. course
beautiful drive on a quiet sunday morning from scottsdale to goodyear, terrific staff and pro shop, golf course was fun and fair, looks easier than it is ,penalized by deep bunkers and slick greens.fairways are undulated but again a fair fun test, reminds me of northern bear in sherwood park, alberta.paired up with 2 fellow manitobans, great day.

One of the best in the valley
Morning began with a 90 minute frost delay. So, the concern was the pace of play would be really slow. however, the staff did an incredible job of pairing people up and we were still able to complete our round in a little over 4 hours.
During our frost delay we had breakfast at the clubhouse. Was not expecting much at the clubhouse. however I was pleasantly surprised by how good the egg, sausage bagel sandwich was.
as you can see from the picture posted that the course is scenic and picturesque. There are many more holes like that on this course. It plays surprisingly open for a desert course and the setup is great. fairways, greens, and bunkers are always in great shape. Also, the rough is manageable which makes the course more fun to play for all skill levels. I also like how they have maintained the desert landscaping as well to prevent overcrowding etc.
A must play for all skill levels.

A little bit of a drive but worth it
We had last played here in February and it was not as green. The greens are fast. I think a strong 10.5 to 11 on the stimp meter. We got paired up with two great guys and had a blast. Shooting a nice 84 for my first round in 3 months. Only thing is this course does not have GPS on the cart so bring your own range finder. I would playing it again. It's a troon course.
