This course has great grounds
I would play here again for sure. The timing for getting around the course was great, no waiting.

Greens need some work.
This is the second time I played this course in the last week. The first time we followed a 5 some and were backed up from the 4th hole. Finally, on #12, a marshal arrived to tell them to speed it up. They weren't as slow from then on. The marshal is a little lacking in people skills. Yesterday, we were behind a group of six. The marshal arrived in the clubhouse just as we left and decided to play a round of golf thinking that he didn't need to go onto the course. I realize it is the end of the winter season, but they need to address this.

Mid week play was good. Manager was positive and helpful. I might recommend this course for mid-week play depending on the golfer's individual ability
It was a leap of faith that took me back to this course, I had played it twice on weekends and found it way over-booked, no marshall, extremely slow...waits of near 2 hours both times for a pre-booked tee-time...only to be called in by a young helper on hole 16 because he had to leave for the day and close up. With daylight left and no one left at the course but the young help to "let someone have it" over poor management!! Needless to say the young help avoided what management knew was coming(consequently they were LONG gone..course closed!!)
Mid week play this day was fine, on-time and although there are a LOT of par 3s we had a relatively good orderly play. I would recommend this course ONLY on weekdays (and maybe not all of them) for new or short-play golfers for an enjoyable day.

Springfield Value!!
I don't usually play "Executive" Courses, but this one I would play again and again. The course is kept in great shape. The Par 4's are guarded by well placed bunkers or water. So you can't just drive the 4's. I think I used all my clubs in my bag. If I was going to be critical, the greens could've been in better shape. Other then that, it's a great little course for the money! I would highly recommend.

Overall a good course
This is a great course for beginners. Lots of varieties in terms of bunkers and water hazards. The green could be better, the ball could barely run.

Terrible Conditions, Great Value
I have been playing at Springfield for 3 years now and the conditions are always the same, awful. Dead grass no matter what the season, greens are very fast because of dead spots, and fairways are not cut accurately so it is hard to tell where they begin and end.
Aside from the conditions, the value is always great, almost $10 cheaper than any other tee time in the area at any given time. Being a college student, that really turns me on to play.
It's an easy course and can be a lot of fun if you mix it up with your friends.
If you are wanting to play a maintained course, this is not an option at all. However, if you are on a budget, I dare you to find a cheaper round.

Great course for practicing your short game.
Course lends to those golfers who are working on fairway shots, medium-length approach shots, chipping & putting. Also appears to be friendly for couples or individuals learning the game. T-boxes a little chewed-up, and some mud and other wet areas around cart paths and low areas.
Staff are friendly and helpful.

You get what you pay for
We are only second year golfers but have taken a lot of lessons and probably played 40 rounds in the year. This was our first time to this course attracted by the fact it was executive and the low fees. We played Sat and Sun, both days were backed up. Sat 1:15 late on the start and Sun :45 late and no cart available so we waited and slowed played for everyone even more. Once on the course it's loosen up a little after the 4th hole. As noted by others the greens are fair at best. For us the distance and course challenge was good as we continue to learn. Painful starts, but by end of the day we enjoyed it. May consider returning, but now know what to expect.

Worst Greens I have ever played on.
Whomever claims to be the grenskeeper is barley a good grass cutter. Greens have slipped to an all time low. Use to be a well kept and enjoyable golf course. Hardlt worth the $$ anymore. Too bad, is a nice area and was a great little course at one time.

Nice executive course at a great price
We had a great day on this good value course. The only negative was the back up from a morning frost delay and there didn't appear to be any marshals to move things along.

For the price, it's a good value.
It's in much better condition than a year ago. The greens need some attention and you need to keep it in the fairway if you want a decent lie.

For an executive course, it was great!
The initial greeting from the staff wasn't the best and could have been described as dismissive; however, the rest of the staff was very friendly and so I just chalk it up to that one person may have been unpleasant and that is it.
The greens really were the only things that needed real attention, just a little grass that did not match and occasionally provided an unreadable lumpy section to putt through.
I enjoyed the course very much because for the super cheap price and the fact it was an executive course, the course did not feel short. Too many executive courses are loaded of par 3s in the 70-125 range, this course provided some variety. I didn't feel like I was pulling out only my pitching wedge from the tee box all day. nice to actually use my irons.

Poor
Booked a time for 1.24. When checking in they said they were 3 minutes behind. While on the range we heard everyone discussing the backup. Went back to verify the status and were told they were 1hour and twenty minutes late. They did not charge us anything however we had already paid the $7 booking fee and lost an opportunity to play a little golf.

Good place to sharpen up your iron game.
Fairways ok, greens slow but a great place for the shorter hitter or someone wanting to sharpen thier iron game. Good pace of play. Restaurant decent.

Great course and fantastic deal!
This course if great to work on your short game! The restaurant serves great food and the staff is wonderful! Rarely do you have to wait as the pace of play of fellow golfers is right on!

greens are in poor condition
This is an O.K. value if you're not fussy about the course being fancy or in top condition. Fairways are alright but greens are in poor shape and bunkers have little sand. Many previous bunkers have been left to grow weeds instead of being maintained with good sand.

Nice executive layout. Needs attention.
Basically a nice layout. Suffers from lack of care. Not many level tee boxes to be found. Sand bunkers should be restored or made into attractive grass bunkers. Could be made into a real gem with attention to detail and upkeep.

Great course for the money
Love this course. Even though it is an executive course, it does require pulling the driver out of the bag once in a while. The course is in great shape and the staff is so friendly.

Price is great and course is in great shape
I pay here every week, the people are friendly, the course is well maintaned. It is a shorter course so it is better for my age group.

Good cart paths and well marked holes.
We had a 2pm tee time. Arrived at 1:45 and had to wait for a golf cart. We actually went to the tee box at 2:15. Front 9 holes were pretty backed up. Back 9 played faster.

Overall a good value for the money.
Unfortunately a frost delay backed up the course to the point of being 7 groups waiting on the first par 3.
Other than the slow pace a few minor issues were noticed ie (garbage bags not inserted into the recepticales and no water in the ball washers)

Way, way overbooked. Some holes there were 3 groups waiting.
Course has potential but needs some major work done to it. Only a few times in our round did we not have to wait on EVERY shot.
Some holes there was a group on the green, a group in the fairway and 2 groups waiting to tee off. On the par 3's sometimes there were 3 groups waiting on the tee. We will not be returning again.

The course was somewhat run down
I've played this course before but don't remember it being in such run down condition. I remember the runways and greens being plush. It was very slow so we only played 11 holes. Oh well, we won't give up we will try again.

Nice course
Our league plays there on Saturdays, we all enjoy the course and lunch after. The recent frost (in Arizona) has made early AM playing a bit less enjoyable, but the course management on weekends makes every attempt to accodate us.
