The Boulders Resort Golf Club - South Course

Book online and get discount tee times at The Boulders Resort Golf Club - South Course

The South course provides its players with much of the same experience they would find on the North course at The Boulders. The scenic views and desert beauty continue - with even more locations for the perfect photographic moment. While the North course is the original offering from the resort, many people believe that the South course is the most scenic. In fact it has holes that go right up into the boulder formations. During your round you will encounter the signature "Boulder Pile" and also "Rosie's Rock", two of the resort's most recognizable rock formations.

Restaurant:

With five dramatically different restaurants, The Boulders offers choices to suit every taste.

The Latilla: Discover the romantic elegance of this glass-walled showplace at the resort’s main lodge. Panoramic views of the waterfall trickling through the boulders draw the desert night indoors. Recently honored by Gourmet magazine as one of the nation’s outstanding restaurants, The Latilla features classic American cuisine. Menu choices also include Golden Door Spa cuisine, created by the resort’s chefs and Spa professionals for specialties as healthy as they are appealing.

Palo Verde: Overlooking the golf course at The Boulders’ main lodge is a showcase for creative Southwestern cuisine. Ranked as the "best Southwestern restaurant" by the Arizona Republic, Palo Verde features specialties using ingredients indigenous to the area.

The Boulders Club: Just a short stroll from the main lodge, guests can enjoy an American grill menu overlooking the golf course.

Bakery Café: At The Boulders’ festival marketplace, the Bakery Cafe offers fresh-baked pastries, breakfasts, pizzas, lunch specialties and cappuccino.

Cantina del Pedregal: Also at the adjacent marketplace, Cantina del Pedregal features casual Mexican dining and the best margaritas north of the border.

Hotel Information:

Individual Casitas: Each of the individual casitas is shaped into the dramatic Sonoran Desert foothills. Natural wood and Mexican tile reflect the Southwestern spirit that surrounds The Boulders. Among the pleasures of these casitas are a lavishly stocked refreshment center, a wood-burning fireplace for cozy evenings, and a private patio or balcony overlooking the spectacular desert terrain. The spacious bathrooms are graced with a lush terrycloth Boulders bathrobe for every guest, along with a collection of eucalyptus bath, beauty and sun products that were honored as “Best Guest Room Amenities” by Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report in its awards for peaceful vacation retreats.
Pueblo Villas: For families and groups of friends, the resort offers a choice of one, two and three-bedroom patio homes known as Pueblo Villas. Each beautifully decorated home features plenty of room to spread out and relax, including a spacious dining area and living room, fireplace, private patio, fully-equipped kitchen, laundry facilities and garage

Local Attractions:

El Pedregal: One of the most appealing attractions at The Boulders is the resort’s festival-style marketplace, el Pedregal. Just a short stroll from the main lodge, it offers a variety of intriguing shops, restaurants and galleries with art and other treasures that reflect the spirit of the Southwest. el Pedregal also features the first satellite location of the famed Heard Museum of Southwestern and Native American culture. The Heard Museum North offers frequent lectures and demonstrations by regional artists, enhancing its constantly changing exhibits of art, pottery, weavings and more. Visit the El Pedregal website.

Sonoran Spa: Reflecting the timeless beauty of the desert in its natural approach to fitness, the spa features an array of tempting choices to soothe the spirit, challenge and pamper the body, and enrich the mind. What a perfect setting for the forthcoming Golden Door Spa, inspired by North America’s premier destination spa. The Sonoran Spa’s fully equipped Workout Center offers fitness machines and free weights as well as cardiovascular equipment including treadmills, rowing and step machines, and recumbent and upright bikes. The spacious Movement Studio features a variety of fitness classes and health seminars. Complete locker facilities include steam rooms for men and women. The Earth, Sun and Water rooms are available for individual Spa treatments like The Boulders’ hot rock massage, the Aromatherapy Facial or the Sonoran Soother. Just outside are the whirlpool spa and lap swimming pool overlooking the spectacular desert vistas of The Boulders.

. A lazy afternoon horseback ride through the rugged desert once roamed by prospectors and pioneers. Rising with the dawn for a hot air balloon ride above the boulders. Exploring the wonders surrounding The Boulders on a mountain bike adventure or jeep tours led by colorful Native American guides. And the Sonoran Spa offers rock climbing instruction, hikes and nature walks, as well as treks to Arizona wonders like an old-time gold mine and petroglyphs carved in stone by long-ago desert dwellers.
