Free Lunch and Stollen Clubs - Awful Service
I am writing this review for my mom as she is too proud to really complain. My parents, Aunt and uncle play here every year on their vacation to Mesa, and until this past spring have really enjoyed it. There was a "free lunch" with the round, offered as a promo by the course, which turned out to not to be free at all. My family put their clubs in the bag drop area, as the pro shop staff had suggested, and went and ate lunch on the deck. After eating they returned to get their clubs and my moms were gone, her new Adams which were played twice were gone. The staff helped them look for 30 minutes with out any luck. The pro said this has never happened before and he would talk to the owner as he will most likely replace them. Since then the owner has called my parents back one and said "we don't have insurance for that" and that's it. He hasn't returned emails or calls or anything over the last 4 months. Pretty cowardly and very unprofessional...... Needless to say they will not be playing here again and no one else should take the "free lunch" worth $1200.

Just moved to Apache Junction a few months ago. Finally got out to play and really enjoyed the course. Staff was extremely friendly. It's summertime so the course is a little beat up just like the rest of them. I will make this my home course. They should have Leinenkugels Summer Shandy on tap though!

lots of desert
My first time there so a bit confusing to get around . Nice to have water stations on course. But lots of desert will give your clubs a beating. Will I go again sure but not going to be a regular place unless I get a cheep set of clubs. Miss the green and you are in desert or water and miss the fare way you in desert again my score was 91 so it wasn't bad but clubs get beat and plan on loosing at least 2 balls.

Apache Creek 6/21
Convenient and a good deal for 18 holes, cart, and lunch for $25. Best to stay on the fairways though, a lot of desert borders each fairway.

Apache Creek Great Value & Quick Play
Apache Creek Golf Course is situated at the SE corner of US 60 & Ironwood and has matured over the past 20 years to have nice greens, grass fairways and real rough. The tee boxes are set up to cover all range of golfers from beginners to advanced. The course is more forgiving than most in that hard pan desert separates fairways and allows the player to get back in play many times without taking a penalty stroke.
I played it yesterday with my future son-in-law, who has recently gotten the golf bug and our round took 3.5 hours to complete without rushing.
I highly recommend as a course to get your game back in shape or simply to enjoy with friends.

Great little course to hone your game.
Excellent value for the money. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The greens were a little hard but well maintained and fairly fast. Fairways were in good shape considering it is the middle of May and the Phoenix area has had a couple of days already with temperatures above the 100 degree mark.
Miss a fairway and the ball always rolled until it found a bush to snuggle up against. The water holes present a good challenge especially when the wind blows as it usually does.
I plan on playing the course many more times this summer (early morning though).
